Photography

In late 2023, my mom gave me her Canon EOS Rebel XS that she had since stopped using. As a student of architecture, I am of course drawn to the photography of the built environment and those that inhabit it. As I learn more about photography from experience and of course YouTube tutorials, I have challenged myself with going for new types of shots with different subjects and goals. A lot of my work is experimentation but I hope to put together some more cohesive and structured projects in the future.

Campus

On a day when I wasn’t under the stress of an immanent deadline, I took the camera on a walk around campus. Most of these shots are seemingly void of people sort of on accident, I think most people were in classes at the time. Nice practice for shooting outside and using a couple different lenses.

Night In

I decided to bring the camera to a hangout with some friends. As pointless as some of these pictures may seem it was good practice with moving subjects. I was constantly playing with the settings and changing lenses trying to make the most out of the time that I had.
